In January 1910 the Seine River burst its banks and water streamed into the streets of Paris, entering the city’s basements and Métro tunnels. Now, the Great Flood’s 100-year anniversary may inspire quaint feelings of nostalgia among some residents of the City of Light, but it should also be cause for concern.
